Gray AES Advances to AVEVA World Conference Finals

At Gray AES, we are shaping the future of industrial automation, digital transformation, and smart city solutions. That innovation is now being recognized on a global stage as our team advances to the final round of the AVEVA Partner Games: System Integration Challenge at the AVEVA World Conference 2025 in San Francisco.

Thisinternational competition brings together leaders in automation, engineering,and industrial technology to solve real-world challenges. The winning team willpresent their solution to over 2,500 industry professionals, with a globalaudience watching.

A Smarter Approach to Smart Cities

The AVEVA Partner Games challenge teams to develop solutions for AVEVA City, a simulated smart city designed to reflect the complexities of modern industrial and infrastructure systems. Gray AES focused on a critical challenge in facility management and industrial safety monitoring of hazardous underground utility corridors.

Leveraging Boston Dynamics’ Spot robot, equipped with the EAP2 module and CoreI/O payload, we integrated several cutting-edge technologies to enhanceoperational efficiency and workplace safety.

To achieve aseamless, data-driven solution, we integrated the following technologies:

• AVEVA™ System Platform – Providing a scalable, resilient infrastructure for monitoring and control.
• AVEVA™ System Platform OMI – Enabling intuitive visualization and real-time decision-making.
• AVEVA™ Historian – Collecting and storing high-fidelity industrial data for analysis.
• Levatas® Visual AI – Enhancing robotic inspection capabilities with advanced computer vision and AI-driven anomaly detection.
• Eclipse Mosquitto™ MQTT – Enabling efficient, real-time messaging for data transfer across various devices.
• Boston Dynamics® Spot (w/ EAP2 module and Core I/O     payload) – Performing industrial inspections, predictive maintenance, and     3D site mapping.
• Boston Dynamics® Orbit™ – A robust robot fleet management and data platform for coordinating multiple Spot units and ensuring seamless data aggregation.

This comprehensive technology stack enables our AI-driven automation solution to enhance data accuracy, operational efficiency, and workplace safety, empowering industries to make informed, real-time decisions.

The Road to San Francisco

Competing against 15 teams, Gray AES advanced through two rounds with a fully functional, scalable solution designed for real-world industrial applications. Now, at the AVEVA World Conference finals on April 7 to 10, 2025, we will take on the final challenge. The winner will be announced live, earning the opportunity to showcase their solution on the main stage.
